Man, August was a tough month for blogging. With school starting and the girls’ activities beginning, it is really difficult to find the time to read and blog. Well, let’s see how I did!
Here are the books I read and reviewed:
- Jane Actually, or Jane Austen’s Book Tour by Jennifer Petkus
- Clockwork Cathedral by Heather Blackwood
- The Light in the Ruins by Chris Bohjalain
- The Rules of Civility by Amor Towles
Audiobooks I listened to and reviewed:
And that’s all she wrote! Not sure if I will have a better month in September because I “volunteered” to be my daughter’s soccer coach. Ask me if I have ever played soccer before. Great question! No, I have not! It will be an adventure to say the least. So excited!! Woo Hoo! Actually, all kidding aside, I am pretty excited to coach a bunch of six-year-old girls. It will be loads of fun!
I can’t believe this summer is almost over. The kids start to school in about three weeks. The summer has just flown by!
Here is what I accomplished in the month of July
I read and reviewed:
The Next Pendragon by Joanne Magnus
My audiobook for this month was Austentatious by Alyssa Goodnight
Wow! I had no idea I read eight books this month! Not too shabby and I thought I didn’t do much this month. I wonder what August will bring?
School is out and the crazy summer has begun! I don’t feel like I have gotten a lot of reading done; BUT we did go to DISNEYWORLD!!! I call it the best of times and the worst of times. Overall, we had a great time, however, I will definitely think twice about going again in summer.
After Disneyworld was behind us, I did get some reading done! And here is this month’s list:
This month I listened to my very first audiobook and I wasn’t impressed at all. However, I’m listening to one right now that I’m really enjoying. I think I just didn’t make a good first pick. June was a fun month and I hope July is even better!
It’s been another great month at Kinx’s Book Nook! I can’t believe April has passed and we’re heading into May. Time sure does fly when you’re having fun.
This month I read and reviewed seven books. Wow, that’s a lot for me!
- All the Appearance of Goodness by Maria Grace
- My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult
- Hot Blooded by Amanda Carlson
- The Future Mrs. Darcy by Maria Grace
- Darcy’s Decision by Maria Grace
- While We Were Watching Downton Abbey by Wendy Wax
- Seduction by M.J. Rose
I, also, wrote several Why I Love to Read posts. I really love writing these! The posts are so much fun!
And last, but not least, I participated in my very first World Book Night. I gave out twenty copies of The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. It was such a great experience. My girls helped out as well and had a wonderful time. I really can’t wait to do it again next year!
