Book Blogger Hop (9) & FF Friday

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended December 31, 2012.

Luckily, Billy from Coffee Addicted Writer will relaunch the Book Blogger Hop. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt just like before. The hop’s purpose will remain the same as it will give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

Q: What book have you’ve been meaning to read forever AND you finally did?

A: The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien and I wasn’t that impressed. But I found out that I’m not a big LOTR fans.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

Q: Have you ever read a book that you thought you would hate – ? Did you end up hating it? Did you end up loving it? Or would you never do that?

A: I usually don’t read something that I would hate. My reading time is so precious to me, I would hate to waste it on something I know I wouldn’t like.

  1. I wasn’t a Hobbit fan either, but love love loved LOTR. Happy Friday! Now following via Twitter!

  2. I read The Hobbit when I was in junior high and remember liking it, and I’m planning to re-read it again. I’ll be curious to see how I feel about it this time around. Everyone tells me I need to read the LOTR trilogy!

  3. I think I have read almost all of Tolkien’s works.

  4. I’m the same way!

  5. I have never read THE HOBBIT. My TBR pile is so large it isn’t even funny. I am sure that is the case for many of us.

    Happy Hopping!!

  6. On the Hop question… awww… but, I think a lot of people read that book because of the movie and were surprised at what the book was like. Tolkien really liked describing the surroundings :)

As for Feature and Follow… you know… if there’s someone who I really respect the opinion of, and they tell me to read something that’s out of my comfort zone, or something I’m not sure I’d like, I read it… and I’ve discovered a lot of wonderful authors I never would have given a chance to.

  7. I have not read any of LOTR books at all. The movies were just ok so I didn’t run to the bookstore. LOL! Great Post!
